Ruins (2014)

Work made during 2014. I find myself being drawn to black and white photographic imagery more and more - especially those found in older cheaper books found in second hand shops. My interest is in images of 'abandoned Britain' - ruins, castles mounds, architectural remnants; images of abandonment, ruin and desolation. I think I find a sense of peace in these images and am fascinated with their 'present-ness' (contemporary society and culture) yet overwhelming sense of past.
